Every camper and caravan enthusiast knows the situation when the pitch is in an unprotected and flat area and a storm is expected. The awning could be torn from its anchorage, parts of the awning or sun canopy could fly around and ultimately be damaged. A storm strap helps here and protects material and people from damage!
The Storm Kit consists of a robust 13-metre strap made of nylon fabric, two very stable steel tent pegs with a length of 38 cm, a tension spring and 2 padded polyester corner protectors. First, the two corner protectors are threaded onto the strap and the two-piece storm strap is assembled. This is then placed over the front edge of the awning so that the positions of the ground anchors can be determined and they can be driven in there. The storm strap is now hooked into the hooks of the pegs, with the tension spring used between the storm strap and the peg on one side. The tension spring allows for a small amount of leeway to absorb and compensate for tearing and pulling forces. Before the webbing is tensioned, the protectors are placed in the correct position, directly on the outer roof poles.
The set is suitable for all caravan awnings, sun canopies and marquees with poles that do not exceed a maximum width of 6.5 metres. With our storm strap set, you are on the safe side and can enjoy your holiday in a relaxed manner.
