The Tropea Motorhome Tarp by your GEAR is a lightweight and quick to set up rain and sun protection with 2 side walls for your bus, van or coach.

The weather protection roof is grey (Cool Gray), has a roof width of 250 cm and a depth of 240 cm. It comes with 2 sewn-on side walls measuring 200 x 200 cm. The side walls can be braced at variable angles of inclination to create covered areas of different sizes. These range from 6 m² with vertical bracing (2.5 x 2.4 m) to 12 m² with very sloping bracing (5 x 2.4 m). This travel awning provides you with the best protection against sun and rain. For sun protection, the material has been provided with a UV 50+ coating and thus offers an excellent sun protection factor against harmful UV rays. If it rains, you will stay dry. This is ensured by the PU coated material with a 5000mm water column. Setting up and taking down the sun awning is done in no time. The attachment to the bus is practical and simple. There are 4 options for attaching the sun awning to the vehicle:

1st fastening option - by piping. The tarp has 7 mm and 5 mm piping and can be pulled into a corresponding piping strip on the vehicle.

2nd fastening option - by webbing to the roof rails. The sun canopy has 3 adjustable straps that can be attached to the car´s roof rails.

3rd fastening option - tension across the roof using guy ropes. Long guy lines (not included) allow the awning to be secured across the roof, on the other side of the car with tent pegs in the ground.

4th fastening option - by lock pole. The sunshade is equipped with a hollow seam into which a lock rod can be inserted. This can be fixed in an existing rain gutter on the vehicle. Alternatively, the lock rod can also be fixed to the car with suction cups that have a corresponding receptacle for a lock rod (lock rod and suction cups are not included in the scope of delivery).

For setting up the front roof section, 2 telescopic aluminium poles, 2 guy ropes with plug-in connection and tent pegs are included in the scope of delivery. The telescopic poles are infinitely adjustable up to a height of 235 cm. The sun canopy has several eyelets that allow the tarp to be pitched in a variety of ways. All guy points are double edged and reinforced. The fabric is easy to clean and dries very quickly. An extra large transport bag is provided for stress-free repacking of the awning. The pack size is 86 x 14 x 14 cm with a total weight of 3.8 kg.

The material has an above-average water column of 5,000 mm - all seams are sealed with seam tape or covered to be waterproof. For special material protection, the fabric is equipped with a high sun protection factor of UV 50+. This UV coating reduces material fatigue and at the same time protects people and material from excessive UV exposure. An additional hydrophobic impregnation ensures increased repulsion of water and dirt.

Reinforced guy points

UV & water column

The material has a 5000 mm water column and is waterproof. The top of the fabric has a UV 50+ coating to protect against UV radiation. This reduces UV exposure and increases the protection of the tent fabric. An additional impregnation increases the hydrophobic effect and considerably improves the beading off of dirt and water particles - it also enables the sun awning to dry quickly.
