This deep pressure stimulation causes the body to release more melatonin (sleep hormone) and serotonin (happiness hormone), at the same time it lowers the output of cortisol (stress hormone).

By using a weighted blanket, you help your body to relax more quickly and find inner peace. For this reason, the therapy blanket is ideal for stress, sleep and anxiety disorders, but also for diseases such as RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome), ADHD, Asperger´s and autism.

For an ideal effect, the weight of a therapy blanket should be approx. 8 - 12 % of one´s own body weight. your GEAR weighted blankets are available for adults in the size 135 x 200 cm with a total weight of 9 kg for people with a body weight of 75 - 115 kg or with 6 kg for people with a body weight of 50 - 75 kg. The weighted blankets for children are 100 x 150 cm in size, weigh 3 kg and are best suited for children weighing 25 - 40 kg. Weighted blankets are not suitable for children under 3 years / 36 months.

The adult blanket and the children´s blanket are each made in the standard size. In addition to use as a bedspread, living room blanket or sofa blanket, the standard size also allows it to be covered with standard bed linen and thus used as a normal bedspread.

The gravity blanket is manufactured and certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100. The blanket is made of smooth cotton fabric. It has a total of 7 layers. The middle layer consists of small glass beads, which is enclosed by a soft fleece and a dense microfibre fabric and covered by the outer cover. The filling is durable, hypoallergenic and odourless. To ensure even weight distribution of the glass beads, the blanket is quilted in a check pattern.
