To achieve an ideal effect, the weight of a therapy blanket should be approx. 8 - 12% of one's own body weight. your GEAR weighted blankets are available for adults in size 135 x 200 cm with a total weight of 9 kg for persons with 75 - 115 kg body weight or with 6 kg for persons with 50 - 75 kg body weight. The weighted blankets for children are 100 x 150 cm in size, weigh 3 kg, and are perfectly suitable for children weighing 25 - 40 kg. A weighted blanket is not suitable for children under 3 years / 36 months.

The adult and child blankets are both manufactured in standard dimensions. In addition to use as a bedspread, throw, or sofa blanket, the standard size also allows it to be used with commercially available bed linen and thus as a normal duvet.

The blanket is made of smooth cotton fabric. It has a total of 7 layers. The middle layer consists of small glass beads, which are enclosed by a soft fleece and a dense microfibre fabric and wrapped in the outer cover. The filling is durable, hypoallergenic, and odorless. To ensure the even weight distribution of the glass beads, the blanket is quilted in a diamond pattern.
