your GEAR 12 x tent peg VX 300 - V-profile steel pegs with barbs 300 x 35 x 15 mm

Product information "your GEAR 12 x tent peg VX 300 - V-profile steel pegs with barbs 300 x 35 x 15 mm"

your GEAR Tent Pegs

Tent pegs made of steel are the most common and, in our opinion, the best choice for securing tents.

The length of the ground nail should be adjusted to the size of the tent. Family tents for 4 to 8 people require longer tent pegs - for a smaller dome or tunnel tent, the shorter variant is often sufficient. Especially in strong winds and high tension on the guy lines, stable ground anchors are particularly important. The tent peg made of solid galvanized steel meets this criterion and anchors your tent firmly to the ground.

To ensure optimal hold in the ground, the peg should be driven in at a 45° angle and completely into the ground. Guy lines should be attached as long as possible. A flatter angle leads to better absorption of wind forces.

The tent peg is beveled/pointed at the bottom. This allows the tent peg to be easily driven into the ground. The durable steel ensures long-lasting stability of the tip and the entire peg. You can use a rubber mallet for harder ground.

Except for the tent peg SH 210, all your GEAR tent pegs can be driven into the ground with a camping hammer.
Caution with high resistance: force will not help here but will only damage the peg. Reposition the peg as it has likely hit a hard object (stone/root) in the ground. Please do not use a regular hammer as it can damage the pegs.

your GEAR ground nails are used to secure tents, sun sails, tarps, pavilions, sunshades, privacy screens, and beach shelters. Large pavilions require longer pegs - for a smaller dome or tunnel tent, the shorter variant is often sufficient. Especially in strong winds and high tension on the guy lines, stable ground anchors are particularly important.
