However, the enthusiasm for rope jumping is no coincidence, because in some studies it has been found that rope jumping has some significant advantages over running or cycling, which ensure a faster training success.

Rope skipping requires more technique than other endurance sports. It improves your strength, endurance and speed. You also train your ability to react and your sense of balance. Rope skipping
If you want to start skipping, the rope must first be brought to the right length. To do this, stand with one foot in the middle of the skipping rope. The length matches your height if the rope including handles on both sides reaches up to your armpits. With this model, you can easily adjust the length to your needs.

Do not start the skipping exercises too fast and with too high a frequency. It is better to work slowly, first of all to master the technique perfectly. Only if you are able to maintain a moderate pace over the entire training session, an increase in intensity makes sense. Be careful not to pull your shoulders too high. Let them hang loosely and breathe evenly in a steady rhythm.

Basic jump
They stand with their feet closed in front of the rope and hold the rope´s handles in their hands. Keep your upper arms and upper body upright. Now set the rope in motion by turning your wrists. They jump off with both legs at the same time and land on the ball of their feet.

Running jump
The run jump requires more coordination than the basic jump.To do this, jump off alternately with your right and then your left leg. You bend the other leg backwards.

Puppet
With each jump the legs are opened and closed in a sideways movement.

Double under
They jump the basic jump, but they run the rope around the body twice per flight phase.

Crossed arms
For this purpose, you do not hold your arms parallel to the body, but crossed over in front of the body. Then jump over the rope and lead the arms outwards again.
