Ponza 400 - our all-rounder with an extra-large living/sleeping area, UV 50+ sun protection, sewn-in tent floor and all-round insect protection.

The Ponza 400 from your GEAR is a spacious multifunction tent with a diameter of 4 metres and standing height throughout the tent.

The entire interior of the tent has an area of around 10 m² and offers plenty of space for a group or the family. The tent floor is tub-shaped and permanently sewn to the inner tent. The combination of steep side walls and an overall height of 230 cm gives this tent a very pleasant and generously spacious feel.

At the front there are 2 really large clear windows that flood the living area with daylight. The mesh windows of the inner tent behind them fulfil 2 functions at once: they let daylight into the inner tent and at the same time provide ventilation for the sleeping cabin. The window panels can be closed from the inside either halfway up or completely opaque. The generous entrance area is protected from rain by a canopy. The wide tent door is D-shaped, can be rolled up to the side and provides comfortable access to the tent.

In addition to the mesh windows of the inner tent, 3 more permanent roof vents ensure optimal air exchange and fresh air. Thanks to the use of a bathtub floor and fine mesh fabric, the tent is very well protected against insects and moisture.

To make pitching easier, an illustrated and waterproof set-up guide is sewn into the carry bag. Both set-up and take-down are very quick and easy. As the inner tent supports the tent structure, it can also be used separately without the flysheet in very hot weather. The extra-large transport bag ensures stress-free repacking of the tent.

The tent is universally usable as a camping tent, base or group tent, as a pavilion against rain with the flysheet installed, without the flysheet as an insect-protection tent in the garden, and especially for festival-goers as a sleeping tent and chill-out area.

The flysheet has an above-average water column of 5,000 mm - all seams are sealed with seam tape or covered to be waterproof. For special material protection, the flysheet is equipped with a high UV protection factor of UV 50+. This UV coating reduces material fatigue and protects both people and material from excessive UV exposure. An additional hydrophobic impregnation provides increased repellence of water and dirt.

The tent floor features double-sided lamination of the PE groundsheet fabric - ensuring a durable, permanently waterproof floor.

Weather-protected entrance

Huge entrance area with large entrance door for comfortable access to the tent. A canopy with separate poles provides protection against rain.

2 huge clear windows in the flysheet bring plenty of daylight into the tent. The mesh windows behind them in the inner tent fulfil two functions at once: the mesh fabric increases air circulation and at the same time provides a good view outside. The windows can be closed both halfway and completely opaque.

UV & water column

The carrier material is equipped with a 5000 mm water column and is waterproof. The top side of the fabric is provided with a UV 50+ coating against UV radiation. It reduces UV exposure inside the tent and increases protection of the tent fabric. An additional impregnation increases the hydrophobic effect and significantly improves the beading off of dirt and water particles - it also allows the tent to dry quickly.
