Coconut fibres provide a well-aerated soil substrate of the best quality. The fibres from the coconut shell are completely peat-free, unfertilised and, thanks to their water-retaining properties, ensure healthy root growth. The pressed fibres are ideal as growing soil, humus for sowing but also for mixing with potting soil. Mixed with potting soil, the coco substrate loosens up the normal plant soil. For sowing and growing seedlings and flower sprouts, we recommend using pure coconut husk soil, as it is already available in our spring pots. The swellable pots are immediately ready for planting after swelling.

Due to the loose and moisture-regulating properties of the coconut fibres, roots are optimally supplied with oxygen and moisture. The roots can develop better, grow faster and the root ball does not harden as much due to watering. The maintenance effort is noticeably reduced by the use of coconut swellable earth tablets.

You can choose whether the pots should be covered with or without a shaping, completely biodegradable fleece. Both variants have their advantages. The nonwoven pots do not require any additional flower pots or pots. The swellable pots can be lined up next to each other. The high shape is given by the cover and is ideal for deep-rooted plants. The fleece can be rooted through, is naturally decomposable and the source pot is transplanted completely, including the fleece, when repotting.

The swellable pot without the fleece cover is often used when planting seed trays, sowing plates or seed trays. After swelling, the seed pot can be shaped into the desired form. This is often used for shallow-rooted plants that need more width for ideal rooting.

The coco soil consists of coarse and fine fibres. An ideal soil substrate for growing flowers, herbs and vegetables. The advantage of the coarse soil is its high air porosity, which helps to allow free aeration and efficient drainage. The fine coco soil is denser and retains more water. Both types are already mixed and provide an ideal growing medium for the young plants. For repotting, the plant shoot with the complete coco growing tablet is planted in the desired location. This completely eliminates the need to prick out the plant.

The soil has a PH value between 5.5 and 7. During production, the fibres of the coconut shell are freed from all germs, fungi and pests by adding heat. This ensures that young plants can thrive.

Other garden soils and potting soils often contain too many mineral nutrients. For many plants, this nutrient supply is too abundant. This is exactly where the particularly nutrient-poor and unfertilised coco soil comes in. Design your potting soil exactly as your plants need it. If necessary, add the required fertiliser via the flower water and thus create the best growing basis for herbs, vegetables, ornamental plants, fruit, trees and shrubs.

The soil is completely free of peat, therefore environmentally friendly and of 100% natural origin. In its pressed and drained form, the sowing soil is particularly light, easy to transport and space-saving to store over a long period of time. Lugging heavy and unwieldy bags of potting soil is now a thing of the past.

The application of the yourGEAR coco soil tablets is very simple:

Place the tablets in a bowl. Fill the bowl about 2 cm high with water. The swelling pot now soaks up and begins to swell. After about 5 minutes, the swelling pot is completely swollen. Of course, you can add a little more water after the swelling process. The potting soil stores the water and becomes more moist, but no longer swells. Depending on the type of plant and its growth, fertiliser can be added via the water and the required degree of moisture can be adjusted. The potting soil is now ready for planting.

No need to prick out

For repotting, the young plant is transplanted with the complete pregelatinised tablet. Tedious pricking out is no longer necessary.
